Antique Bouillon Cup and Saucer, Mason's, Willow Blue, Ironstone, Blue and White
A gorgeous antique bouillon cup and saucer by Mason's England. The pattern is called Willow Blue and consists of the a Blue Willow design. It would be lovely in a china cabinet as a display piece. This set could be also used to serve sherbets or ice cream.

Bouillon is drunk entirely from the cup or sipped from a spoon, one or the other but never both (that's bad table manners!). To test the temperature, a single sip is taken from the spoon. When bouillon is drunk from the cup, the cup is held by one or both of the open-loop handles, whichever is more comfortable.

This bouillon cup and saucer are in excellent condition for it's age. There are no cracks. It does have one tiny small chip near the handle on the bouillon cup but it's not too noticeable. The cup has no crazing and the saucer is lightly crazed. This set is approximately 101 years old.
