A beautiful coffee cup and saucer by Syracuse China. The pattern is called Mayfair and consists of blue floral bands and single flowers against a cream colored background. This is heavy restaurant grade china. It would be perfect for your favorite coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
Syracuse China was located in Syracuse, New York. It was founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company in the town of Geddes, New York. In the late 19th century, Onondaga Pottery began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market, particularly in hotels, restaurants, and railroad dining cars. The manufacturing facility in Syracuse closed in 2009, after 138 years of operation.

This cup is in great condition. It was made in 1951 according to the Syracuse date codes. The cup has a couple of small rub marks and the saucer has scratching from the cup. This is normal as it is restaurant ware and has probably made people's day by delivering them wonderful hot steaming coffee. Now it can do the same for you.
