Antique Pedestal Dessert Bowls, Hand Blown Glass, Green, Candy Dishes, Set of 2
A wonderful set of two hand blown dessert dishes. The pattern consists of a swirl bowl on a decorative stem and foot. Perfect for serving ice cream, sherbets, and fruit. They could be used as decor on a mantle or as candy dishes. This set would be a great addition to a table, buffet, or sideboard.

These are in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. Because each of these were made individually the stems are a bit different, please see photos. You can see the pontils from the glass blowing process on the bottoms of the bowls. A pontil mark is a variable size and type of scar or roughage left on the base of a hand-blown glass item by a pontil rod. A typical pontil rod was a long rod which was securely attached to the base of the just blown hot glass as it was blown.
