A gorgeous ice bowl by Paden City. The pattern is called Spring Orchard and consists of acid etched birds, flowers, and leaves, and ribbed glass on the lower half of the bowl. This would be perfect for entertaining in a glamorous style. The bowl could also be used for serving various things besides ice. This was made in the 1930s.

The Paden City glass factory began producing glass in 1916 in West Virginia. It was run by David Fisher, previously the manager of New Martinsville Glass Company. Paden City provided elegant glassware in the US for 35 years reaching its height in popularity during the Great Depression. Paden City glass was not signed. Its products were marked with paper labels, most of which were removed by the owners. The Paden City glass plant closed it doors in 1951.

This ice bowl is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is rubbing to the silver trim on the rim of the bowl. This is normal for glass of this age, it is approximately 92 years old.

These would make a great housewarming, hostess, wedding, shower, or holiday gift. A great ice bowl to add to your home bar.
