Yellow Etched Glass Tray, Paden City, Depression Glass, Handled, Square

A gorgeous etched handled tray by Paden City. Its pattern consists of flowers and lines etched into yellow glass. A wonderful plate for serving cookies or other desserts. Great for entertaining. This plate would look beautiful on a table, buffet or sideboard. Wonderful yellow depression glass for the collector.

The Paden City glass factory began producing glass in 1916 in West Virginia. It was run by David Fisher, previously the manager of New Martinsville Glass Company. Paden City provided elegant glassware in the US for 35 years reaching its height in popularity during the Great Depression. Paden City glass was not signed. Its products were marked with paper labels, most of which were removed by the owners. The Paden City glass plant closed its doors in 1951.

This plate is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks. It does have some utensil marks from years of being used and loved.
