A lovely antique EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) pedestal cake stand made by Higbee Glass. It is in the Delta pattern which consists of a thistle design and ribbing. It has an upturned edge. The pattern is also known as Paneled Thistle and Canadian Thistle. This design is easily confused with Wright Glass Thistle, which was made between 1969 and 1980, but this glows a bright yellow green under a black light which newer glass does not. Older glass does glow and Higbee make this pattern circa 1915. This would be perfect to serve a cake at an afternoon tea, dinner, or party. It would be a great display piece for homemade goodies such as cupcakes, pies, or more. What a great way to own a piece of history.

This cake stand is in excellent condition, which is unusual for a plate stand of this age, it is approximately 110 years old. There are no chips, cracks, or utensil marks. Just a beautiful stand waiting to help you entertain.
