This is a set of four Mikasa bread and butter plates in the Sophisticate pattern. They were made in Japan between 1965 and 1987. These classic white plates are a fine example of mid-century modern style—clean, simple, and versatile enough for both everyday use and special occasions. The plates measure 6¾ inches in diameter. They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or staining. Even though the Sophisticate pattern has been discontinued, they remain a favorite among collectors for their timeless look and quality craftsmanship. Whether you're replacing a few pieces or building a vintage collection, these are a solid choice.
Note: These plates once had a sticker, but they have been removed due to use. We know that because we have the matching sugar bowl, and it does have its original sticker.
