Still More Stories to Solve: Fourteen Folktales from Around the World
Written by George Shannon | Illustrated by Peter Sís
Published by Greenwillow Books, 1994
First Edition (confirmed by full number line ending in 1)
This engaging 1994 first edition hardcover features fourteen folktales from various cultures, each told as a short riddle or puzzle for readers to solve. Authored by George Shannon and illustrated by award-winning artist Peter Sís, this is the third volume in Shannon's popular "Stories to Solve" series. It's a wonderful collection for young readers, educators, or collectors of multicultural tales. This is an ex-library copy and shows typical library markings: stampings, a card holder on the rear flyleaf, and a clear protective cover over the dust jacket. The dust jacket itself has been well-preserved under the plastic. The inside pages are clean and free from any writing, highlighting, or rips. The binding is tight and secure. Whether you're building a children's book collection, enjoy folklore from around the world, or appreciate Peter Sís's distinctive illustration style, this is a lovely copy to have.
