Syracuse China, Gravy Boat with Underplate, SY733
This is a lovely gravy boat with underplate by Syracuse China. The pattern number is SY733 and is a peach colored calla lily on a tan background. This is restaurant grade so it is heavy and sturdy. It is a wonderful set for your sideboard, buffet, or dinner table.
Syracuse China was located in Syracuse, New York. It was founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company in the town of Geddes, New York. In the late 19th century, Onondaga Pottery began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market particularly in hotels, restaurants, and railroad dining cars. The manufacturing facility in Syracuse closed in 2009, after 138 years in operation.

This is a vintage set and in great condition. No cracks or crazing but there are the tiniest chips on the bottom of the underplate from being used over the years.
