Dinner Plate, Canonsburg Pottery Company, Lajean, Warranted 22 Karat Gold, Floral Pattern, Gold Filigree
This is a beautiful dinner plate with 22 Karat gold filigree. It was made by the Canonsburg China Company in Pennsylvania. The bowl is in the Lajean pattern.and has a lovely rose motif in the center of the plate. The plate's edge has gold filigree. This would be a great serving dish at a tea for cookies or pastries. A wonderful decorative display plate when added to a china cabinet or for the collector.
The Canonsburg China Company was founded in 1900 by John George. In 1909, the name was changed to Canonsburg Pottery Company. The company remained in the George family until 1975, and it closed in 1978.
10 inches in diameter.
This plate is in great condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is one utensil mark on the rose pattern (Please see the Photos). This is a lovely plate from a bygone age and it's looking for a new home and it could be yours.
