This sweet vintage Madame Alexander doll is part of the beloved International Series and represents Scotland with her traditional tartan outfit and matching tam. She stands 8 inches tall and dates to the 1950s. Her open and close eyes still work beautifully, and she has all of her original clothing, right down to the tiny brass buttons and the thistle pin on her hat. Her outfit has the classic plaid skirt, green felt jacket, and sash, and she wears black shoes and lace-trimmed socks. The sewn-in cloth tag inside her skirt reads "Scottish by Madame Alexander, New York, U.S.A." As expected with dolls of this age, the clothes show signs of time and display—light wear, dust, and minor fading. Her body is intact, but the inner elastic bands have stretched over the years, which causes her to lean to the right. She still stands well with support or could be restrung if you prefer a tighter pose. This little Scottish lass is full of charm and character and would make a lovely addition to a vintage doll collection or a nostalgic gift for someone who appreciates classic Madame Alexander style.
