This doll, by Madame Alexander, is named “Diana’s Sunday Social”, part of their Anne of Green Gables series. She stands 8 inches tall and is dressed as Diana Barry, Anne Shirley’s best friend, in her original Sunday best — a pink and cream floral dress trimmed with lace, a wide satin sash, white boots, and a straw hat with a pink ribbon and rose. Made in the USA around the late 1980s to early 1990s, she has all her original clothing with no stains, rips, or repairs. The hard plastic body and face are in excellent shape, and her sleep eyes open and close as they should. She comes with the stand shown in the photos. A lovely collectible for fans of Anne of Green Gables or Madame Alexander dolls, and a sweet display piece for any vintage doll collection.
