This vintage oval platter is from Continental China of Germany in the elegant Duchess pattern. It measures 12¾ inches in length and 9½ inches in width, a nice size for serving main dishes or side items at the table. The design is classic mid-century — bright white porcelain with a platinum looped border that gives it a timeless and formal look. The Duchess pattern was produced during the 1960s–1970s, when platinum-trimmed china was a popular choice for formal dining. Today it still works beautifully for holidays, weddings, or any occasion where you want the table to look a little more polished. This piece displays well on its own and also blends easily with other platinum-trimmed china.
