There’s a quiet beauty in these early pieces of Imperial Glass — the kind of sparkle that doesn’t shout but still draws your eye when the light hits it just right. This 8-inch footed bowl carries the NUCUT mark at its center, a proud stamp from the days when Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio was determined to bring the look of fine cut crystal into everyday homes. Dating from around 1904 to 1914, this bowl was part of Imperial’s pressed imitation cut glass line — made to resemble hand-cut crystal but sturdy enough for the table. The detailed pinwheel and hobstar pattern gives it that Edwardian-era charm, while the scalloped edge softens the bold design just enough. It’s heavy, bright, and feels as solid in your hands as the day it was made. You can imagine it once sitting on a lace-covered table, filled with oranges or wrapped candies, catching bits of lamplight in every cut. Over a century later, it still does its job beautifully — ready to serve, display, or simply sparkle on a shelf.
