If you grew up with Pfaltzgraff in the house, this little dish would look like it came straight out of a familiar kitchen cupboard. It’s the Village pattern — that soft tan stoneware with the warm brown folk-art tulip in the middle — the same look so many homes had through the late ’70s and ’80s. This square open dish was the sort of piece someone would set out on the coffee table with a handful of peanut M&Ms or mixed nuts when company stopped by. Nothing fancy, just the everyday kind of pretty that Pfaltzgraff always did well. The basket-weave sides give it that sturdy, homestead feel, and it’s made of the heavier stoneware that holds up for generations.
