If you enjoy old-school wildlife writing—the kind where the author actually climbed cliffs, crawled into nests, and lived the work—then this signed first edition of A Family of Eagles will feel right at home on your shelf. This book was written by Dan True, a naturalist who spent years studying the Golden Eagle in the American Southwest. He wasn’t the type to sit behind a desk. He went straight into the field with a camera, a notebook, and a lot of grit. The result is a down-to-earth look at eagle family life: courtship, nest building, raising young, hunting habits, and the struggles these birds faced long before conservation was a household word. This copy is signed by Dan True, which doesn’t turn up often. Whether you’re a birder, a wildlife student, or someone who simply appreciates honest nature writing, this book has that steady, dependable quality older nature texts offer—no sensationalism, just real observations from someone who lived the work. A good collectible for anyone with a soft spot for raptors or vintage natural history books.
