This is one of those little plates that quietly does its job and looks good doing it. It’s a clear pressed sandwich glass bread and butter plate in the Trellis pattern, made in Indonesia. The size is just right perfect for bread, a slice of pie, cookies, or a small dessert. It’s also the kind of plate people end up using as a trinket dish or soap dish once it’s no longer living in the cupboard. The pattern has that classic look many of us remember from everyday tables: a beaded, scalloped rim, graceful scrollwork around the edge, and a diamond-cut center that catches the light nicely.
