There are some albums everyone knows, even if they don’t own a record player. Imagine is one of those. This is an original early U.S. Apple Records pressing of Imagine by John Lennon, released in 1971, just after the breakup of The Beatles. It’s the album most people associate with John Lennon’s solo years — thoughtful, idealistic, and unmistakably of its time.
This copy has clearly been loved and played, which is exactly what a record like this was meant for. The vinyl itself looks very good, with light surface marks consistent with normal use. We sell all records as-is and do not play test, but visually this is a solid listener copy.
The outer cover is in poor condition, with noticeable rubbing, wear, some tearing along the bottom edge, and areas where the outer layer has begun to peel. The original inner sleeve is present, which is a plus, though it does have edge tears and yellowing from age.
This is not a collector-grade copy, and it’s priced accordingly. It’s best suited for someone who wants to actually enjoy the music, or for a John Lennon fan who appreciates original vintage pressings without paying premium prices for pristine covers.
