There’s just something about Avon’s old ruby glass that feels like it should live in a sideboard next to the good linens. This little footed tumbler is from Avon’s 1876 Cape Cod line—the pattern with all the diamonds, loops, and that deep red that glows like garnet when the light hits it. They sold these as tumblers back in the late ‘70s and ‘80s, but folks use them for just about anything now… as a sugar bowl on the breakfast table, votive candles at Christmas, or corralling teaspoons and more. Whether you’re replacing one from a set, starting fresh, or just like a bit of old-fashioned red glass on the shelf, this one will suit you fine.
