Some folks grew up with Ferrante & Teicher playing in the living room, and this boxed set fits that memory. It’s a Longines Symphonette Society mail-order release called Romantic Moods for Twin Pianos, sold through their Gold Medal Recording club in the late 1960s to early 1970s. The outside case shows its age with the usual rubbing and corner wear, but nothing serious. The inner storage case is in excellent shape, and all of the original Gold Medal Recording sleeves are here. The sleeves have yellowed a bit with age, as expected. The records themselves look clean with no heavy scratches that jump out at you. We don’t play or test records here, so this set is sold as-is. If you’ve got a soft spot for piano arrangements or just appreciate the old Longines subscription sets, this one’s worth a look.
