This is the kind of glass that quietly did its job for generations. Back around 1910, when pressed glass still had weight and purpose, a dish like this would have sat right in the middle of the table — holding pickles, olives, relishes, nuts, or a bit of candy brought out after supper. It wasn’t fancy for the sake of being fancy, but it was meant to look good and last. This antique Early American Pressed Glass pickle dish has clean paneled sides, a softly scalloped rim, and a classic starburst base that catches the light just enough. It’s a practical size, easy to use, and still just as useful today as it was over a century ago. What I like about pieces like this is that they don’t ask to be handled with white gloves. They were made to be used, passed, and enjoyed — and this one has survived beautifully. Perfect for serving olives or pickles, using as a relish tray, or even setting out with wrapped candies or nuts. It also makes a fine display piece for a farmhouse, early American, or traditional kitchen.
