Every once in a while, you pull out an old record and suddenly you're right back in the 1960s. That’s exactly what this album feels like. This is The Turtles – Golden Hits, released in 1967 on White Whale Records. It’s a compilation of some of their most recognizable songs, including the one almost everyone knows — “Happy Together.” The Turtles had that unmistakable sunshine-pop sound that filled the radio during the mid-60s, and this record captures it perfectly. If you grew up hearing these songs on the radio or on a turntable in the living room, this album will probably bring a few memories back.
This copy shows honest age but still presents nicely. The cover has corner and edge wear and some rubbing, which is typical for albums that have been around for nearly sixty years. The seams are solid with no splits.
The vinyl itself is still glossy with light marks and surface scratches, but there are no deep gouges. The record comes in a plastic sleeve, which likely is not the original inner sleeve but does help protect the vinyl. A nice vintage LP for anyone who enjoys classic 1960s pop or collects records from the golden era of vinyl.
