A vintage Beatles double LP set titled “1962–1966,” better known by fans and collectors as the Beatles Red Album. This compilation was released in 1973 and covers the early years of the band from 1962 through 1966, when Beatlemania was in full swing. The set includes many of the songs that first made the Beatles famous, including Love Me Do, She Loves You, A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, Yesterday, and Eleanor Rigby. The album comes in the well-known gatefold cover showing the band leaning over the stairwell balcony at EMI headquarters. Then on the back cover you see the famous follow-up photo taken several years later in the same spot. These albums were originally released as a way for listeners to hear the highlights of the Beatles’ early years in one place, and they have remained popular with fans ever since.
