This is a Fostoria Colony vase, a pattern that’s been around since the 1930s and stayed popular for a reason. It has that clean, bright crystal look Fostoria was known for—nothing heavy or overdone, just good glass shaped the right way. It's a vase with a design that just doesn't need explaining once you see it in person. Set it near a window and the light does the work for you. That deep swirl pulls your eye right down into the center, and then back out again. It’s the kind of glass that was made to be noticed without trying too hard.
What stands out on this one is the weight and the movement. It’s not a thin or flimsy piece. You can feel it when you pick it up. The swirl is strong and well-defined, and the top gently curves inward just enough to give it a little more character than the straight flared versions.
This is the kind of piece that fits just about anywhere—on a table with fresh flowers, on a shelf catching the light, or sitting on its own where it doesn’t need anything else around it. It’s not flashy. It’s just right.
It stands 7½ inches tall and measures about 6½ inches across the top, with a solid 4½-inch foot that keeps it steady wherever you place it.
Condition is excellent. No chips, no cracks. The surface is clean and bright with that classic Fostoria shine that collectors and decorators both look for.
