Bavaria fruit bowls have that rich old-world look that German porcelain was known for, with a band of very dark cobalt so deep it almost appears black until the light catches it. This set includes four porcelain fruit or dessert bowls made in Bavaria, Germany. The bowls are bright white with double gold trim framing the dark cobalt band around the rim. They have a clean classic look that works beautifully with traditional china, mid-century decor, or even modern black-and-white table settings.
The porcelain has a smooth glossy finish and the bowls are lightweight yet refined, just what people expected from Bavarian porcelain in the 1950s. These would look wonderful used for berries, pudding, ice cream, candy, or displayed in a china cabinet with other cobalt pieces.
