Anchor Hocking introduced Fire-King ovenware in the 1940s and became one of America's most popular producers of durable milk glass tableware during the mid-century years. The Swirl pattern, often referred to by collectors as Golden Shell when accented with gold trim, features elegant spiral ribbing that creates a flowing shell-like appearance. Fire-King pieces were prized for their durability, clean design, and versatility, making them a staple in American kitchens for decades.
