A charming vintage New York City souvenir plate featuring some of the city's most famous landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, United Nations Building, Times Square, Coney Island, and the International Airport. This decorative plate was made in Japan during the mid-century tourist era and features a beautiful reticulated border accented with hand-applied cobalt blue brushwork and gold trim. The original "A Quality Product Japan" foil label remains attached to the reverse.
Souvenir plates like this were popular keepsakes purchased by travelers visiting New York City during the 1950s and 1960s and displayed in china cabinets, curio shelves, or wall groupings.
