History
Released in 1987, Cloud Nine marked George Harrison's return to recording after a five-year break from studio albums. Co-produced with Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra, the album became Harrison's most successful solo release in years. The album reached the Top 10 in the United States and produced the worldwide No. 1 hit "Got My Mind Set on You." It also features the fan favorites "When We Was Fab," a nostalgic tribute to The Beatles, and "Devil's Radio." The sessions brought together an impressive lineup of musicians including Eric Clapton, Elton John, Ringo Starr, Gary Wright, Jim Keltner, and Ray Cooper. The success of Cloud Nine helped inspire the formation of the Traveling Wilburys shortly afterward.
