This 1999 Brass Key Victorian Star Collection doll is dressed in an elaborate Victorian-inspired costume of deep burgundy and soft white, complete with lace, bows and faux pearl accents. Standing approximately 17 inches tall, she wears a rich burgundy velvet-style bodice with puffed sleeves and a full tiered white skirt decorated with satin bows and faux pearls. An ornate lace bib collar embellished with additional pearl accents frames her face. Her coordinating burgundy hair bow, lace stockings and decorated shoes complete the costume. She retains her original Brass Key heart-shaped hangtag. Her display stand is marked Victorian Star Collection 1999. She would make a lovely addition to a porcelain doll collection, Victorian-inspired display, or collection of late-20th-century decorative dolls.
She has blonde curled hair, blue eyes and long lifelike eyelashes. Her blonde hair remains full and displays nicely. There is some frizz from age and display, particularly among the curls, but it blends naturally into the full curled hairstyle.
Condition:
The doll is in very good vintage condition. Her original clothing is clean with no noted stains, rips, tears or repairs. The decorative beading and faux pearl embellishments on her clothing and shoes remain intact. Her facial features and eyelashes are also well preserved. There is some age-related frizz to the curled hair as noted above.

Brass Key produced decorative and collectible dolls in a wide variety of styles, including Victorian-inspired designs such as this example from its Victorian Star Collection. This doll's stand is dated 1999, making her over 27 years old.
The elaborate clothing is one of her better features. Her layered skirt, velvet-style bodice, lacework, bows, faux pearls and coordinated shoes reflect the highly decorative style that made these dolls popular for display during the 1990s.
