Vintage 1990s Teddy Bear, Curly Plush Bear with Teal Ribbon, 9 Inch Stuffed Animal

This little vintage teddy bear looks as though he spent plenty of time being loved, and after all these years he is ready for a new home. Dating to approximately the 1990s, the bear measures about 9 inches tall while seated. He has soft curly plush fur, dark eyes, an intact brown stitched nose and contrasting fabric paw pads with stitched toe details.

An interesting feature is hidden in his front paws — they stay together when brought across his chest. He may originally have been designed to hold a small accessory, although no original accessory is present.

A new teal satin ribbon has been added around his neck.

This is a vintage bear that shows his history. His fur has a ruffled, somewhat matted appearance from years of handling and love rather than the smooth appearance of a new stuffed animal. There are no rips or tears, his seams are sound, and his facial features and paw pads remain in nice condition. The bear has been freshly cleaned and is ready to display, collect, or perhaps receive a few more hugs.

Good vintage condition. No rips or tears. Stitched nose is intact and the bear sits properly. Fur shows ruffling and matting consistent with age and previous use. History
Teddy bears went through another period of enormous popularity during the 1980s and 1990s, when traditional-looking bears were produced not only as children's toys but also as decorative and collectible stuffed animals for adults. This bear's curly synthetic plush, small dark eyes, stitched nose, fabric paw pads and seated design are consistent with teddy bears produced during the 1990s. His original sewn-in tag identifies the filling as polyester fiber and states that he was made in China, but unfortunately does not identify a manufacturer.
