A genuine piece of 1950s Pyrex made for the working kitchen.
This vintage Pyrex #221 round cake pan features a white opal glass interior with the original bright pale lime green exterior. Two integrated handles make the pan easier to lift from the oven than traditional straight-sided metal cake pans. A nice piece of early colored Pyrex for a vintage kitchen collection, display, or for someone who appreciates old kitchenware that has actually served its purpose.

Although occasionally mistaken for a casserole or pie plate, Pyrex #221 is an 8-inch round cake pan. It was made without a lid.
The pan measures approximately:
8¾ inches in diameter across the top
10¼ inches from handle to handle
Condition:
The white interior remains very clean with only a few light utensil marks from use. The lime green exterior shows considerably more evidence of its years in the kitchen, including scratching, rubbing and areas of color wear. We have photographed the exterior closely so its condition can be clearly seen. There are no chips or cracks noted. This isn't a piece that spent seventy years untouched in the back of a cupboard. It was used for exactly what Pyrex made it for, and the wear is part of its history. Imagine the number of cakes that may have come out of this pan since the 1950s.
History:
Corning introduced its Lime Pyrex bakeware in 1952, during an important period in the company's history when colorful ovenware was becoming a familiar sight in American kitchens. The Corning Museum of Glass records Lime and Flamingo Pink as joining the Pyrex color line in 1952. The Lime Bakeware line was produced during the first half of the 1950s.
