A beautiful oval platter with a pattern that consists of center flowers on a cream colored background. The rim has a 22K gold design. It would be a wonderful serving piece on your dining table, sideboard or buffet. Add a touch of bygone days to your table decor.
Edwin Knowles founded the firm Knowles, Taylor and Knowles Co, which was considered to be the largest pottery in the world during the turn of the century. In 1900 when he became the President of the company its name changed to Knowles China Co. He remained the President of the company until he died in 1948. After that William Harris Jr. served as President through the 1960s. This company ceased operations in 1962.

This is in very good condition. There are no cracks, chips, or crazing. The floral pattern does show utensil marks which isn't unusual for a platter of this age.
