A wonderful pair of figurines by Lipper and Mann. These figurines feature Colonial era dress and both are sitting. The man has a flute and the woman holds a scroll. They are both dressed in pink and the chairs they sit in are green. They do not have a glaze. They are each stamped on the back L & M Inc. These are a great gift idea.

Bisque porcelain or bisque is a type of unglazed, white porcelain, with a matte appearance and texture to the touch. It has been widely used in European pottery, mainly for objects that are not tableware and so do not need a glaze for protection.
Lipper & Mann was an importer of glass and ceramic items and organized in 1946. Items were imported from Czech and other European countries. They began importing items from Japan in 1947. This company distributed items to leading department stores. Lipper purchased Mann's interest in the company in 1963.
These figurines are in excellent condition. There are no cracks or chips.
What a marvelous gift these would make for a wedding, housewarming, birthday, special occasion or holiday. They are not to be missed.
