A beautiful platter by Noritake. The pattern is of center flowers on a white base, silver verge line, cream-colored rim with floral design, and ornate edge. This is a really beautiful platter and would make a great display piece as well as a useable serving dish. It will be a great way to own a piece of the past. Make a grand statement on any dining table, sideboard, or buffet table with this elegant and versatile platter that is perfect for entertaining.

In 1904, the forerunner of the Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake, a small suburb near Nagoya, Japan. The goal of this first factory was to create western style dinnerware for export. It took until 1914 to create the first porcelain dinnerware plate that was suitable for export. Today, Noritake is an acknowledged leader in tableware.

This platter is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is rubbing to the gold trim. This is to be expected of china of this age.
