Original vintage photographic poster of Main Street in Lake Placid, New York during the 1980 Winter Olympics era. More than a souvenir, this piece documents Lake Placid at a time when the village stood at the center of the winter sports world.
Captured using a 15-minute nighttime exposure with red, green, and blue tricolor filters, this photograph records the movement and energy of the village as streams of light from passing cars sweep through the snowy street. The long exposure creates the glowing light trails that defined night photography of the period.
Originally printed and sold in Lake Placid souvenir shops around the time of the 1980 Winter Olympics, this poster was produced by Adirondack Cards and features the work of a local Adirondack photographer. Each poster is signed.
