Antique footed bowl by Jefferson Glass. The pattern is Ruffles and Rings and consists of Flowers, Rings, and a swag. It has an opalescent crimped edge. This bowl is very old from the early 1900s. In my search, I have only found one other of this shape. This decorative bowl would make a gorgeous centerpiece on a dining table, sideboard, entry table, or buffet. A fantastic gift idea for a lover of antique glassware.
The Jefferson Glass Company was founded in 1900 by four partners: Harry Barstow, George Mortimer, Grant Fish and J.D. Sinclair. It operated from 1900 to 1933. Initially, the company was located in Steubenville, Ohio. They took the company name from the name of the county Jefferson County in which Steubenville resides. The company remained in Steubenville, OH until 1907. From 1900-1907, Jefferson specialized in the making of opalescent glass. When the glass company moved from Steubenville to the new Follansbee site it specialized in producing non-opalescent crystal until its closing in 1933.

This bowl is in excellent condition considering it's age. There are some minor scratching and a slight fog line around the rim. This doesn't take away from the beauty of this bowl.
