A wonderful set of five square dessert plates by Syracuse China. The shape is called Trend and the pattern is called Berkeley and consists of a white plate with pink flowers. These are heavy restaurant grade china. They would be wonderful for use on a porch, patio, or picnic table. Sturdy plates for heavy everyday use.
Syracuse China was located in Syracuse, New York. It was founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company in the town of Geddes, New York. In the late 19th century, Onondaga Pottery began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market, particularly in hotels, restaurants, and railroad dining cars. The manufacturing facility in Syracuse closed in 2009, after 138 years of operation.

These plates are in great condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. This set of plates has utensil marks from years of being used in a restaurant.
The plates are very heavy. They were made to take the abuse of being used in a restaurant.
