A beautiful hand wrought aluminum bun warmer by Nasco, Italy. The pattern is an embossed fruit design on the cover. At one time this bowl would have had a glass insert bowl but it is missing, but any glass bowl that is of the same dimensions would fit. When used for bread, buns, cookies, brownies, etc the aluminum bowl would work well with a cloth or doily for a bowl liner. Aluminum dishware was an economical way of having a silver like serving piece back in the '30s, 40's, and early 50's. This would grace any table, sideboard, buffet, or coffee table as a small centerpiece.

This bun warmer is in great condition. There are some scratches which is not unusual for aluminum of this age. It has no dents. The insert glass is missing.
