A detailed history of the court of Louis XVI and Antoinette. It is the history of their position in helping America during the Revolutionary years. It is the story of the French author Beaumarchais (Figaro) who helped with his own money the American rebels in their fight for independence against the King of England at the time when Benjamin Franklin was sent as a delegate of the Congress to Paris.
Lion Feuchtwanger (1884 – 1958) was a German-Jewish novelist and playwright.
