Vel Soap Box, Collectible, Kitchen or Laundry Decor, Empty
A wonderful old Vel soap box. The box's advertising states that it is not soap but cleans as good as soap, that it can be used for dishes, stockings, and woolens. This was made by the Colgate-Palmolive Company. The box, is sealed and has never been filled, if filled, it would have held 15 ounces of powdered detergent. It got it's name Vel Soap or Vel Detergent from the slogan "Mar-VEL-ous".

The box is in good condition. The top has been glued closed and it is empty. The colors are dulled from age, the photos make it look much brighter than it is.
What a wonderful gift for a collector or to add to your own collection. This is a great vintage find.
